Reasons for Hair Loss:
  • People lose hair for several reasons. Illness and medication (like chemotherapy to treat cancer) can cause hair loss. Hair loss can also be inherited from parents.
  • Medications can weaken hair, causing it to break or fall out. Semi-permanent color is good in this case, too, because it does not contain ammonia or peroxide. It will not damage hair, but will give it body and volume.

  • Get enough sleep, massage your scalp.
  • Supplement your diet with biotin capsules. That would help and you can take a lot of it without getting sick or overdosing. There are some examples where people who have had success in reversing thinning hair with biotin supplementation.
  • Get a lot of iron and protein in your diet (not pills), the best method is through supplements (multivitamin tablets). If you suffer from dandruff as well, try a 2% Ketoconazole medicated shampoo and maybe take an antifungal tablet once a week(get it prescribed by a doctor).
  • To protect hair, one of the best practice is to shampoo only when hair is dirty. Because fine hair gets dirty faster, people with fine-textured hair need to shampoo more frequently even though fine hair breaks more easily. For that reason, fine-textured hair benefits from a good shampoo and volume-building conditioner.

    Dandruff problem:
     
    Medicated shampoos for dandruff are not really a solution because after start using them, you will have to use them basically all the time.
     
  • Try something natural, for normal hair like Ayurvedic formulas, for sensitive skin, baby shampoos.
  • Do weekly hot oil treatment using olive oil. This will nourish the scalp and stimulate healthy hair growth.
  • Trim your hair once every 8-10 weeks to remove split ends.
  • Massage your scalp every night using a wide toothed combed to improve blood circulation in your head and stimulate growth.
